Welcome

If you can't tell by now, my name is Sean, you can call me SD, all my friends do. I am a multimedia software engineer for the CTL's (Center For Teaching & Learning) Educational Technologies division at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As of this writing, I've been actively involved in multimedia software development for the past 28 years. I am a September 1997 graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia (AS in Visual Communications). My first job out of college which was at medical publisher, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins; I was handed a stack of software and was told it would be in my best interest to learn these titles, which included Macromedia Flash 1.0, Macromedia Director 4 and Macromedia Authorware amongst others. In September 2011 I returned to school and completed a BS in Interactive Media Design.

At Thomas Jefferson University, I am responsible for educational multimedia software design and development using various web development technologies and object-oriented programming languages. In addition to educational multimedia software development, I am also a systems administrator responsible for over 400 mixed platform desktops and servers.

When I'm away from my keyboard, I enjoy playing the guitar and traveling. Some of the places I've had the pleasure to travel to include Ireland (my favorite place outside of the U.S, been there three times), England, Curaco (been there three times as well, I highly recommend it!), Antigua, Mexico, Barbados and the Dominican Republic to name a few.
